Let’s take a look at the book of James 1:17, our third scripture. What have we sacrificed for God lately? Something to remember and act on at this time of the year.

The second scripture is taken from John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but haveĮverlasting life.” Look how much we are loved by the Father God, he sacrificed his one and only son. The first scripture can be found in Matthew 1:23- “Behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel which means God with us.” Jesus was born so that God could be with us, remember that the next time you feel alone, because you are not, God is with you. So to prepare our hearts and help prepare the hearts of others, hopefully this season, I found seven scriptures that will take the focus off the season and help us to focus on the reason, Jesus Christ. Some of us get so caught up in all the preparation for Christmas that we don’t remember that the real reason for the season is the birth of Jesus God’s precious gift to mankind. The month of December always seems to go by quickly, and some of us get so busy making Christmas lists, shopping for trees, going to Christmas parties and other events, cooking and baking, it seems like there’s not enough time to do it all before Christmas day.
